The EECS Dept. is delighted to announce that Dimitri Antoniadis has been named recipient of one of IEEE's most prestigious honors, the 2002 IEEE Andrew S. Grove Award. The award is presented by the IEEE Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Technical Field Awards Council and the Awards Board for outstanding contributions in the field of solid-state devices and technology, to an individual or group.
Dimitri's award came with the following citation:
"For seminal contributions to field-effect devices and silicon process modeling."
Dimitri joined the faculty at MIT in 1978. He has been a mainstay of MTL since its founding in 1984, and consistently played a key role in the development of semiconductor devices and integrated circuit technology research at MIT.
Congratulations to Dimitri upon the occasion of this richly deserved honor.
