ICP Career Fair

The Industrial Connection Program Fall Career Fair is held every September to kick off the new recruiting season.   This small venue allows students and ICP members to network in a casual setting to discuss summer and permanent job opportunities for EECS majors. 

Why ICP?

Each year the EECS Department awards degrees to over 22% of all MIT undergraduates and over 44% of all School of Engineering undergraduates. These students represent the top EECS talent in the country, and are recruited by a broad range of employers. 

Companies who join ICP increase their name recognition and capture EECS student attention.  Career Fairs, Technical Talks, and Information Sessions targeting EECS students provide a proactive, customized approach to recruiting on campus.  ICP personalized assistance can help companies craft their publicity about job openings so that it appeals to MIT students and attracts the right candidates.

Students who attend ICP events increase their knowledge about job opportunities and market trends, and develop a more realistic view of the post-graduation world of work.  When students are more informed they make better decisions about their future and their careers, resulting in better job fits.

  • 30% go on to further education
  • 10% work in start-up companies or start their own companies
  • 35% join high-tech firms, research labs
  • 20% choose other fields (e.g. consulting, financial services)
